→  About Us

Planta1 is an exhibition and dissemination space for contemporary creativity with an independent curatorial line.

It is an initiative of the association estética masiva, a non-profit organisation founded in 2016. We have a special interest in artistic proposals that transcend traditional disciplines and place special emphasis on research, experimentation and innovation. We work with national and international artists with a proven track record, as well as young talents, facilitating the production and dissemination of their work.

The team is made up of a small group of people under the direction of Emilio Navarro, who brings with him the experience accumulated over an extensive professional career.

We question the efficiency of the current status or system of contemporary art and we seek to contribute to to break down the current boundaries between artistic categories with the intention of being able to come closer to a concept of ‘art’ that is much more open, transversal and can raise awareness among a more heterogeneous public..

We believe in an opening up of artistic discourses that leads to the generation of diverse perceptive experiences beyond the traditional ones and that are distinguished by their singularity, always with the aim of encouraging the incorporation of aesthetic pleasure into our daily lives.
